Well, another season of American Idol has come and gone. And, yet another season where I easily predicted the winner without even watching it. I don't have any proof other than telling my wife and coworkers, so for those of you who don't know me, you'll have to take my word for it that I guessed the winner.
I am no magician , so I will share my secret with you. Before I do, take a look at the past American Idol winners in chronological order:
Kelly Clarkson
Ruben Studdard
Fantasia Barrino
Carrie Underwood

Do you see it yet? Look at the sex and race of each winner:

It's not perfect, but had Carrie Underwood and Fantasia switched years, it would be a perfect switch off each year between races! It's pretty understandable considering the politically-correct-ness of America today. Also, minus Carrie Underwood, it's a perfect switchoff between male and female! It's quite the coincidence, if you ask me. So, garnered with this knowledge, I predicted before the season started that a black female would win this year. Sure enough, when Jordan made it to the finals, it was a no-brainer. So, next year look for a male for sure, and he will probably be white unless they decided to go black so they can switch up the race of the sex that wins (so it won't be black female/white male every other time). No racism here...just the facts.
Oh, yeah, and the Giants just swept the Astros. Zito finally found his dominance again, which, according to Bengine Molina, was hindered by a thumb that was jammed in Colorado. I guess I could see that, but from what I saw he was just plain throwing more strikes last night. You don't give away many walks, and you'll always be in much better shape. And speaking of Bengie, did anyone think that he'd be carrying this team offensively instead of Bonds? He has been the definition of clutch with an average of .421 with runners in scoring position and .524 with runners in scoring position with 2 outs! Unbelievable! This, so far, is looking to be a fantastic signing by Sabean, which is something we've gone without for a long time.

Luke, that's still a pretty small sample size. I'm not sure ethnicity has much to do with it, although I would argue that looks do. The last two years there have been several black women with amazing voices, who also happened to be less than attractive (or slender).
As for Molina, it might be a good signing for this year, but the guy's 33 and we signed him for two additional seasons. The jury is still out for me.
I completely agree with you that they seem to be trying to ethnically "even things out" on American Idol...although I would be careful about specifically referring to them as "black". I could be wrong, but Jordin looks like she could be half-black or even less...looks can be decieving.

Air mattresses are becoming increasingly popular. When you know what to look for in an air or foam bed, you can find one which provides you with a restful, comfortable night's sleep.

Basically, the budget air beds are probably best suited for the guest room. If you're looking for something which will be used daily, then you'll want to go with a airbed that has dual chambers, is fully customizable and has a shell which has the look of a traditional mattress. As with any mattress, look at the construction and go for a model which has a good warranty.
Foam Mattresses
Basically, there are two types of foam mattresses. The cheaper foam mattresses are made from poor quality materials, meaning they won't last as long as higher quality models. Low quality foam breaks down and leads to an uncomfortable mattress in only a few years' time.
Higher end foam mattresses made from quality materials like memory foam are much longer lasting and the material molds to your shape, then returns to its original shape and firmness. These foam mattresses may require a little adjustment to get to the softness you prefer - read the instructions to see how this is done.
Another thing to keep in mind about foam mattresses is that they are sensitive to temperature. Foam tends to soften under body heat, so they will be softer or firmer depending on where your body is warmer or cooler. The better quality foam mattresses are usually treated to make them inhospitable to dust mites and reduce their ability to trigger allergies.
One drawback to these memory foam mattresses is that it does take a little time for them to return to their original shape when you move around while sleeping. If you tend to toss and turn in your sleep, you should take this into account. Many mattress manufacturers and retailers offer trial periods, although keep in mind that the cost of delivery and returning a mattress you find unsuitable is generally not included.
